As a struggling entrepreneur, I always ask myself, What I am missing?. Why can’t I just think of a great idea that will hit big? The business idea that will bring real reward and fulfillment that I am looking for.

Guy Kawasaki, the author of a bestseller “The Art of Start” has the answer. He mentioned 5 GIST (Great Ideas For Starting Things). These are:

1. Make Meaning
2. Make Mantra
3. Get Going
4. Define your Business Model
5. Weave a MAT (Milestones, Assumptions, and Tasks)

Among the five, I should say “Making a Meaning” is the missing link from all the ventures I had in the past. Here is an excerpt from the book that defines “meaning”.

Meaning is not about money, prestige, or power. It’s not even about crating a fun place to work. Among the meanings of “meaning” are to

- Make the world a better place.
- Increase the quality of life.
- Right a terrible wrong.
- Prevent the end of something good.

Now that I am focus on Internet Entrepreneurship, this is something that I’ll put on top before launching any business or website. Kawasaki explained it convincingly well in his book and I felt more empowered ever since.

This also made me realize, Is not this life is all about? Making a meaning here in on earth and on eternal.
